Questions and answers
- Which is the better buy for a first Jordan rookie?
- The SGC Authentic at $5,500 at eBay as of November 3, 2026 is the cheaper way in. The PSA 8 (OC) at $8,960 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026 holds value better.
- Is the PSA 8 (OC) worth the extra money?
- Yes if you plan to resell, because PSA 8 copies trade more easily than Authentic-only cards. No if you just want the card in hand.
- What does OC mean on the PSA grade?
- OC stands for off-center. PSA still calls the card a PSA 8 but flags that centering falls outside the normal tolerance for that grade.
- Which card will hold value longer?
- The PSA 8 (OC). Numeric PSA grades on 1986 Fleer Jordans have a deeper resale market than SGC Authentic copies.
- Are both cards authentic?
- Yes. PSA graded one and SGC graded the other, and both are third-party grading companies.
- Is either card autographed?
- No. Both are unautographed base rookie cards numbered 57 in the 1986 Fleer set.
