Questions and answers
- Is the Nitro Max Premium a different kit from the Nitro Max?
- No. Both use the same Nitro Max module, 10" dual-zone mesh snare, three 8" mesh toms and four-post aluminum rack. The Premium is the all-in-one bundle of the same kit.
- Which is better for a beginner?
- Either one. Both include the learning tools: metronome, performance recorder, 60 play-along tracks and three months of Drumeo. Pick the lower price.
- Is the Premium worth the extra money?
- There is no extra right now. The Premium was $449.00 as of November 3, 2026, and the standard kit was quoted at $449 at Poppa's Music, so the bundle costs the same.
- Can I play along to songs from my phone?
- Yes. Bluetooth audio streaming on both lets you play tracks from Spotify or Apple Music through the module without cables.
- Can I record or use it with drum software?
- Yes on the standard kit, which lists USB. The Premium listing does not spell out USB, so confirm it before buying if recording matters to you.
- How loud is it in an apartment?
- The mesh heads keep stick noise down, but the kick pedal and hi-hat still transmit some thump through floors. A rug under the kit helps.
