Are these two the same laptop?

Yes. Both are the Alienware 15 DA15265 with a Ryzen 5, 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD and an RTX 4050. The listings differ in seller and price, not hardware.

Which is better for gaming?

They perform the same. The 165Hz 1920x1200 panel and RTX 4050 handle esports titles well at high frame rates, but 6GB of VRAM is tight for newer AAA games at high settings.

Is the cheaper one worth it?

If you can get the Dell-listed unit near $944.90, yes. That is about $25 less than the $970.00 Best Buy price for identical hardware.

How much storage does each have?

Both have a 512GB SSD. Plan on adding an external drive or upgrading later if you keep several large games installed.

Neither has an edge on hardware. Battery life will be similar, and the 5 lb chassis and cooling design are the same on both.

Should I wait for a lower price?

The Dell-listed unit has moved between $944.90 and $970.00 in about a week, so a small dip is plausible. Check the price history before paying full price.
