Which is better for gaming?

The 16X has the newer RTX 5070 and a much newer 24-core CPU, so it should lead in most current titles. The m15 R7's RTX 3080 is still capable at 1440p but is a generation behind.

Is 16 GB of RAM enough on the 16X?

For gaming alone, yes. For streaming, heavy modding or video work, the m15 R7's 32 GB is the safer choice, and the 16X's DDR5 can be upgraded later.

Which screen is better?

The 16X's OLED panel wins on contrast and color, and its 2560 x 1600 resolution is slightly taller. The m15 R7's IPS panel is brighter for well-lit rooms and less prone to burn-in.

The 16X, as a 2025 model with a newer GPU and CPU, should stay useful for more years. The m15 R7 is an older generation and will age out sooner.

Is the 16X worth the extra money?

If its price is close to the m15 R7, yes, for the newer parts, OLED screen and included dock. If the m15 R7 is much cheaper and you need 32 GB of RAM, it is the better value.

Does the m15 R7 come with a dock?

No. The dock is part of the 16X bundle only.
