Only if you need wireless. At $174.99 versus $49.99, you pay about $125 more for Bluetooth, 2.4GHz and battery life; the NZXT is the better value for a wired desk.

Can I use either with a console?

The NZXT lists Xbox and PlayStation support. The Alienware lists Windows only, so console use is not promised.

Does either have a numpad?

No. The Alienware is tenkeyless and the NZXT is MiniTKL, so both drop the numpad for a smaller footprint.
