Which is better for a basement drop ceiling?

The KFFKFF. Its 24 x 24 in tiles are made for drop-in installation in a standard grid. The Art3d is a glue-up sheet, so it does not fit a grid.

Which looks better in a living room?

The Art3d, if you want a black 3D textured feature ceiling. The KFFKFF is a plain white flat tile that blends into a standard grid.

Is the Art3d worth the savings?

Yes if you are gluing tiles to a solid ceiling. It costs $32.99 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, about $7 less than the KFFKFF at $39.99 at Walmart.

Can I paint either one?

Yes. The Art3d is paintable, and so is the KFFKFF, but KFFKFF notes the paint is permanent and cannot be undone.

Do either block sound?

Not much. Both are thin PVC, not mineral fiber or gypsum acoustic board, so expect little sound absorption.

Which holds up in a bathroom?

Both resist water and humidity. The KFFKFF adds a stain-resistant laminated finish, which helps in steamy rooms.
