Our take on the Art3d 12-Pack PVC Drop Ceiling Tiles Glue up Ceiling Tiles,24"x24" Plastic Sheet in Black

Art3d's 12-pack of 24x24 inch PVC ceiling tiles is a glue-up or drop-in skin for standard grid ceilings, sold in black with a textured 3D pattern. The panels are thin (0.02 inch) and lightweight, so they cut with a utility knife and can be painted. At $32.99 for 12 tiles at eBay as of November 7, 2026, the set works out to about $2.75 per tile, which is low for a textured ceiling panel.

Best forCovering a stained or dated drop ceiling gridRenters who want a quick, removable ceiling refreshBasement and garage ceilingsDIYers on a tight budget
Pros
  • 12 tiles cover 48 square feet of grid
  • Thin PVC cuts with a knife and installs with adhesive or in the grid
  • Humidity and corrosion resistant, so it suits basements
  • Paintable if black does not fit the room
  • About $2.75 per tile at the $32.99 eBay price
Cons
  • 0.02 inch PVC is flimsy and can sag or ripple between grid members
  • Tiles measure 23.82 inches, so they sit slightly loose in a 24-inch grid
  • Glue-up install is permanent and hard to undo
  • Black 3D pattern shows dust and seams

Questions and answers

Will these fit a standard 24x24 drop ceiling grid?
They are made for 24x24 grids but measure 23.82 inches, so expect a small gap. Many buyers add adhesive or shim the edges.
Do I glue them or drop them in?
Either works. They are light enough to rest in the grid, and Art3d also sells them for glue-up mounting to a flat ceiling.
Can I paint them?
Yes. The PVC takes paint, so you can cover the black finish with a ceiling paint.
How much ceiling does a 12-pack cover?
Twelve 24x24 tiles cover 48 square feet, minus any grid overlap.
Are they safe in a bathroom or basement?
The PVC is humidity and corrosion resistant, so damp rooms are fine. Keep them away from direct water and high heat.
Is $32.99 a good price?
