Which is better for gaming?

The ASUS TUF Gaming 16. Its RTX 5060 outpaces the OMEN's RTX 5050, and the 16 GB dual-channel RAM helps frame consistency. The OMEN's sharper 165 Hz screen is the counterpoint.

Is the OMEN's screen worth it?

If you read a lot of text or play competitive shooters, yes. 2560 x 1600 at 165 Hz is visibly sharper and slightly smoother than 1920 x 1200 at 144 Hz.

Which has more memory?

The ASUS ships with 16 GB DDR5-5600. The OMEN lists 8 GB as a single stick, so plan on adding a second module.

Do both have the same storage?

Both list 512 GB PCIe SSDs. The OMEN specifies Gen4 NVMe; the ASUS does not state a generation.

They tie at 4.9 lb each, so weight is not a deciding factor.

Is the ASUS worth the extra?

At $1,399.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, the ASUS is the better gaming buy. The OMEN's edge is its higher-resolution display.
