Questions and answers
- Which is better for gaming?
- The ASUS TUF, because the RTX 5060 outpaces the RTX 5050. The OMEN's sharper 165Hz screen helps, but the GPU gap matters more for frame rates.
- Is the OMEN worth it for the 1TB drive?
- If storage is your bottleneck, yes. The OMEN doubles capacity and adds a sharper screen for a GPU step down.
- Which has more RAM?
- The ASUS ships 16GB in dual-channel. The OMEN lists 8GB in one stick, so it runs single-channel until you add a matching module.
- Which screen is better?
- The OMEN is sharper at 2560 x 1600 and slightly faster at 165Hz. The ASUS is bigger at 16 inches and rated 100% sRGB with G-Sync.
- Which lasts longer on battery?
- The OMEN lists a 70Wh battery; ASUS gives no figure. Expect the OMEN to run longer unplugged, though gaming laptops drain fast either way.
- How do the prices compare?
- The ASUS was $1,399.99 at Walmart as of November 1, 2026. No price was given for the OMEN, so check its current store prices.
