Which is better for tank tops and dresses with thin straps?

The Better Homes & Gardens hangers. They have built-in shoulder notches, and the Universe listing does not mention notches at all.

Do both packs contain 30 hangers?

Yes. Both are sold as 30-packs, so the choice comes down to features and price, not count.

There is no reliable data on the Universe set. The BH&G hangers use a velvet-over-wire build that can bend under heavy coats, but its 4.8 rating from 1,305 shoppers suggests most owners are satisfied.

Is the Universe set worth buying over the BH&G set?

Only if it costs clearly less at your store. It has no published specs, no non-slip claim and no ratings, so you are trading known features for a possible saving.

Will these hangers fit a standard closet rod?

Both are standard hanging hangers with hooks. The BH&G hanger is 17.75 in long and 9.25 in tall, which fits typical adult clothing and rods.

Do either of these have a bar for pants?

The BH&G hanger has no bar, so pants are folded over the shoulder. The Universe listing does not state a bar either.

Better Homes & Gardens Slim Non-Slip Velvet Hangers, Black, 30 Pack vs Universe Premium Velvet Shirt Hangers 30 Pack

Buy the Better Homes & Gardens 30-pack if you want a documented non-slip velvet hanger with shoulder notches and a large body of owner ratings. The Universe Premium 30-pack is the alternative only if its price at your store clearly beats the BH&G set, since its listing gives almost no specs to check. No prices were provided for either product, so compare live store prices on this page before deciding.
