Questions and answers
- Which is better for a king bed?
- The Blue Lodge. At 110 x 96 inches it drapes over the sides of a king; the Woodland Sage is 90 x 90, which barely reaches the edges.
- Is the Woodland Sage worth the extra money?
- Only if you want the bear-and-moose pattern. You pay $89 more for a smaller quilt in microfiber instead of cotton.
- Which feels softer?
- The Blue Lodge cotton shell is breathable and soft after washing. The Woodland Sage microfiber is smooth but traps heat.
- Which is easier to care for?
- Both are machine washable. The Blue Lodge needs cold water, a gentle cycle and no ironing; the Woodland Sage is a plain wash and tumble dry.
- Do the shams fit king pillows?
- The Blue Lodge shams are 36 x 20 inches, a standard king sham size. The Woodland Sage shams are 26 x 20 inches, closer to a standard or queen sham.
- Which holds up longer?
- Cotton quilts like the Blue Lodge tend to soften and last for years with gentle washing. Microfiber resists fading but can pill with heavy use.
