Will the VHBW charger work with my Braun Series 3?

Yes. VHBW lists compatibility with Braun Series 1 through 9, which includes Series 3. The Braun cord also fits Series 3 and Series 7.

Which one charges faster?

VHBW lists a 12V, 0.4A output. Braun does not publish output for the Series 3 cord, so a direct speed comparison isn't possible from the specs.

Is the VHBW charger safe to leave plugged in?

It is ETL certified and rated for 100-240V AC input, which covers US outlets. It also carries a 12-month warranty.

Do I need the Braun cord if I own a Series 7?

Both fit Series 7. The Braun cord is the original part; the VHBW adds a longer cable, ETL certification and wider compatibility at a third-party price.

Neither maker publishes a lifespan figure. The Braun cord is an original part; the VHBW is covered by a 12-month warranty, which limits your risk if it fails.

Is the VHBW worth the extra over the Braun cord?

Check both prices on this page. If the VHBW costs less, it covers more shaver models and adds a warranty; pay more for the Braun only if you want the original part.
