Which charger is safer to leave plugged in?

The VHBW states ETL certification; the Xahpower lists none. Both output 12V at 0.4A, but certification is the clearer safety signal.

Will either charge a Braun Series 9?

Both list Series 9 compatibility and the same 12V 0.4A output Braun uses. Check your shaver's model number against the listing before buying.

Is the VHBW worth more than the Xahpower?

It adds ETL certification, a 12-month warranty and a longer cable. If those matter, pay the difference; if not, the Xahpower does the same electrical job.

Which has the longer cable?

The VHBW at 5.9 ft versus the Xahpower at 1.45 m (about 4.8 ft).

Do both work on 220V outlets abroad?

Yes. Both accept 100-240V at 50/60Hz, so they work on US and European outlets with a plug adapter.
