Which is better for hot sleepers?

The Chaps microfiber is light at 85 GSM, but polyester traps heat. Cotton flannel breathes better but is warmer. For most hot sleepers, a plain cotton percale beats both.

Cotton flannel generally outlasts light 85 GSM microfiber, though flannel can pill. The Eddie Bauer set's 4.5 rating from about 6,700 ratings is the better durability signal; the Chaps set has no rating count listed.

Is the Eddie Bauer set worth extra money?

Yes if you want cotton, warmth, and a wider size range. Skip it if you need wrinkle-free bedding or four pillowcases, which the Chaps set gives.

Does the Chaps set fit deep mattresses?

Yes. The fitted sheet is listed as deep pocket. The Eddie Bauer set does not state a deep-pocket fit.

Which comes with more pillowcases?

The Chaps Queen set includes four pillowcases. The Eddie Bauer set's pillowcase count is not specified.

Which looks more formal?

The solid navy Chaps set reads more formal. The Eddie Bauer plaid is casual and cabin-style.
