Which kit is better for a first drill and driver set?

Kit A. It lists real torque and speed figures and has no reported durability complaints in the given feedback. Kit B is brushless but has no published specs and reports of a part falling off.

Is the brushless kit worth the same price?

Only if you value the brushless motor and check the box on arrival. At $129 each, Kit A gives you more published performance and fewer reported problems.

Which impact driver is more powerful?

Kit A states 1,700 in-lb and 3,200 RPM. Kit B gives no torque or speed numbers, so there is no way to confirm it matches.

Which is lighter to use overhead?

Kit A's impact driver is 2.8 lbs. Kit B's kit weight is 8.28 lbs, and its tool weight is not listed.

Do both include two batteries and a charger?

Yes. Both kits include two lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a bag. Kit A specifies 2.0Ah capacity; Kit B does not.

On paper the brushless motor in Kit B should outlast brushed. In practice, shopper reports of a retention piece failing on Kit B favor Kit A for reliability.

DeWalt 20V Max Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit vs DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless Tool Combo Kit

Both kits cost $129 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, so price does not decide this. The DeWalt 20V Max Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit (A) is the safer pick: it has a brushless-free but proven brushed motor, published torque and speed figures, and a lighter 2.8 lb impact driver. Kit B is brushless and lighter overall per the listing, but shopper reports of a falling driver retention piece and a dead battery in an open box make it the riskier buy. Buy A for a first drill and driver set; buy B only if you want brushless and can check the box on arrival.
