Is this kit worth it over a brushless DeWalt set?

If you use tools daily, a brushless XR kit gives longer run time and motor life. For occasional home projects, this brushed kit at $129 covers drilling and driving at a much lower price.

What is included in the box?

The DCD771 drill/driver, the DCF885 impact driver, two 20V Max 2.0Ah batteries, a charger and a contractor bag. Bits and blades are not included beyond what the tools ship with.

Can I use my other DeWalt 20V batteries with these tools?

Yes. Both tools run on any DeWalt 20V Max battery, including larger 4.0Ah and 5.0Ah packs. Larger batteries add run time but make the tools heavier and less balanced.

Does the drill work on masonry or concrete?

No. This is a drill/driver without a hammer function, so it is for wood, metal and plastic. For concrete you need a hammer drill.

When is this kit cheapest?

DeWalt combo kits usually drop around Black Friday, Father's Day and end-of-year clearance. The current $129 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range.

Our take on the DeWalt 20V Max Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

A two-tool starter kit pairing DeWalt's DCD771 drill/driver with the DCF885 1/4-inch impact driver, two 20V Max 2.0Ah batteries, a charger and a contractor bag. The impact driver delivers 1,700 in-lb of torque at up to 3,200 RPM, and the drill has a two-speed transmission with 404 unit watts out. Both tools use brushed motors, so this is the value tier of DeWalt's 20V line rather than the brushless XR tools. At $129 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range and is a common entry price for the kit.
