The EGO. Its 16:1 metal-impeller mulcher packs more leaves into each bag and stands up to debris better than the Greenworks plastic impeller.

Which is better value out of the box?

The Greenworks. At $279.99 at Greenworks as of November 6, 2026 it includes a 4Ah battery and charger; the EGO needs a separate 6.0Ah battery to hit its 90-minute runtime.

Which is lighter to carry?

The Greenworks at 10 lb tool only. The EGO is 14.2 lb assembled, and owners say it feels heavier with the battery and leaf bag on.

Does the EGO come with a battery?

No. The EGO is tool only; the quoted 90-minute runtime assumes the recommended 6.0Ah ARC Lithium battery, sold separately.

Which has the longer warranty?

The Greenworks, at 4 years on both tool and battery. EGO's warranty for this model is not stated in the details here.

Can either handle wet leaves?

The EGO is IPX5 rated, so it tolerates spray and light rain. The Greenworks has no stated weather rating, so keep it dry.
