Questions and answers
- Which is better for a large yard?
- The Liberty Garden Model 840 holds 250 feet of hose and rolls on four wheels, so it suits large yards with long runs. The Eley holds 200 feet and stays in one spot unless you move it.
- Is the Eley worth the lower price?
- Yes for most shoppers. At $32.29 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it costs far less than the Liberty's $120.89 and adds a 10-year no-leak warranty.
- Which lasts longer?
- The Eley backs its aluminum and brass build with a 10-year no-leak, no-fail warranty. The Liberty's steel frame is sturdy but carries no comparable warranty claim.
- Can the Eley be moved around?
- It is free-standing with no wheels, so you lift or drag it. It can be staked or anchored for stability. The Liberty rolls on never-flat tires.
- Do both handle 5/8-inch hose?
- Yes. Both are rated for 5/8-inch hose and 150 psi maximum pressure. The Liberty holds 50 more feet.
- Which needs less setup?
- Both require assembly. Eley buyers report quick assembly with clear instructions and a video; the Liberty's steel cart takes more bolting together.
