Which is better for hunting small game?

The Gamo. Its 1,000 FPS and rifle stock give the energy and stability for 25 to 40 yard shots. The Crosman's 600 FPS pistol format is a close-range tool.

Which is better for indoor practice?

The Crosman. At 1.875 lbs and 13.6 in. it works in a hallway or garage, and a few pumps keep velocity low and quiet. The Gamo needs a real backstop and space.

Is the Gamo worth the extra money?

If you need range and power, yes. At $178.42 at eBay versus $76.49 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, the Gamo adds a scope, a gas piston and roughly 400 FPS.

Which is easier to shoot all afternoon?

The Crosman. Pumping takes effort per shot, but 30 lbs of cocking on the Gamo tires you faster, especially from standing.

Do both come with a scope?

No. The Gamo includes a GAMO 3-9x40 scope. The Crosman has iron sights and a dovetail rail, so you buy rings and a scope separately.

Both are durable steel-and-polymer designs. The Gamo's gas piston avoids spring fatigue, and it carries a three-year warranty; the Crosman's pump seals are the wear part over years of use.
