Is the Gamo Swarm Maxxim 10x Gen 2 worth it?

At $178.42 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a strong value for a magazine-fed gas-piston rifle with a scope included. Comparable repeaters often cost more.

How does it compare to the Gen 1 Swarm Maxxim?

The Gen 2 adds the 10x rotary magazine and the improved CAT trigger. It keeps the IGT gas piston and Whisper Maxxim barrel.

Does it really shoot 1,000 FPS?

That figure is with light alloy pellets. With standard lead pellets expect roughly 800 to 900 FPS, which is still plenty for small game and targets.

The rifle, one 10-shot magazine, and a Gamo 3-9x40 scope. Pellets and a scope mount may need to be checked with the seller.

How hard is it to cock?

About 30 lbs of effort per shot. That is normal for a magnum break-barrel, but it adds up over a long shooting session.

The Gamo Swarm Maxxim 10x Gen 2 is a break-barrel gas-piston air rifle with a 10-shot rotary magazine, so you can fire ten pellets before reloading. It uses Gamo's IGT gas piston instead of a steel spring, a Whisper Maxxim suppressed barrel, and a CAT two-stage trigger, and it ships with a 3-9x40 scope.
