Which is better for pet stains on stairs and furniture?

The Hoover CleanSlate. It is light, has a TightSpot Tool for crevices and a hose rinse, and costs $99.99 at Hoover as of November 4, 2026. The Bissell handles above-floor spots too, but its 17 lb upright is awkward on stairs.

Which cleans a whole carpeted room faster?

The Bissell TurboClean Pet XL. Its 10-inch powerbrush path and 1-gallon tank cover more carpet with fewer refills than the Hoover's 7-inch tool and 1.25 tank.

Is the Bissell worth $60 more than the Hoover?

Yes if you clean full rooms regularly. The Bissell adds a powered brush roll, a wider path and a bigger tank. For occasional spots, the Hoover at $99.99 does the job for less.

Does either one have a powered brush?

Only the Bissell. Its 4-Row DeepReach Powerbrush scrubs as it extracts. The Hoover uses a 2-in-1 bristle and rubber nub tool driven by suction alone.

Which is easier to store and carry?

The Hoover. It is a compact spot cleaner built to move between areas. The Bissell is a 42.5-inch upright that weighs 17 lb.

Do both come with cleaning solution?

Yes. The Hoover ships with its pre-mixed Oxy formula, and the Bissell includes Bissell PRO MAX Clean & Protect and Pet Stain & Odor formula.
