The Dell XPS 13. Its 8 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD handle documents, research tabs and video calls without the slowdowns 4 GB RAM causes. The HP 14 works for one task at a time.

Which is easier to carry?

The Dell at 2.2 lb versus 3.11 lb for the HP. The HP is still light enough for room-to-room use.

Does the HP have a touchscreen?

No. The HP 14 has a non-touch 1280 x 720 LED display at 60 Hz. The Dell XPS 13 screen is touch and 2560 x 1600.

Which has better battery life?

Only the HP publishes a figure: up to 11 hours 15 minutes of video playback. Dell does not state battery life for this configuration, so compare real-world tests before deciding.
