Questions and answers
- Which is better for reading and note-taking?
- The iPad Mini 6. It weighs 10.4 oz versus 17.2 oz, so it is far easier to hold one-handed for long reading sessions, and its 2266 x 1488 display is sharper.
- Which is better for watching video?
- The iPad 10.2" (9th Gen). Its 10.2-inch screen is much larger than the Mini's 8.3 inches, and the 8,557 mAh battery is rated for the same 10 hours.
- Is the iPad Mini 6 worth the extra money?
- Only if size and speed matter to you. At $329 refurbished versus $161.69 new, you pay about $167 more for the A15 chip, 8 GB of RAM and a much lighter body.
- Which lasts longer?
- The iPad Mini 6 should stay usable longer. The A15 Bionic and 8 GB of RAM are well ahead of the 9th Gen's A13 and 3 GB, so it will handle new iPadOS versions and heavier apps for more years.
- Does the iPad Mini 6 come with a warranty?
- Yes, the ItsWorthMore listing includes a 12-month warranty, 30-day returns and free shipping, and the box has a USB-C charging cable.
- Can I get more storage on either?
- The 9th Gen was sold in a 256 GB version, so look for that if 64 GB is too small. The Mini 6 listing here is 64 GB only.
