Questions and answers
- Which is better for reading and commuting?
- The iPad Mini. At 10.5 oz and 8.3 in it fits in one hand and in a small bag, which matters more than screen size on a train or in bed.
- Which is better for drawing and note-taking?
- The iPad (11th-gen). The 11 in screen gives more canvas, and it supports a stylus. The Mini works too, but the smaller area gets tight for sketching.
- Is the iPad Mini worth the extra $69?
- Only if portability is your priority. At $469.00 at eBay versus $399.99 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026, you pay more for a smaller screen, lighter weight, 8 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB option.
- Which lasts longer on a charge?
- Both are rated at 10 hours by Apple. The Mini has a 5,078 mAh battery; the 11th-gen iPad's capacity is not published, so expect similar real-world runtime.
- Which has more storage choices?
- The iPad Mini, with 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The iPad (11th-gen) stops at 256 GB.
- Should I wait for the iPad (11th-gen) to drop back to $320?
- It hit $320.00 on November 1, 2026, before returning to $399.99 on November 3. If you are not in a hurry, tracking its price history is reasonable; if you need it now, $399.99 is still below the Mini.
