What reviewers say
LG B5 Series 4K Ultra HDR Smart AI OLED WebOS TV
Reception of the B5 is generally positive: reviewers treat it as the cheapest way into a good OLED and accept the step down in brightness and processing. Owners praise picture quality for the money and complain mainly about brightness in bright rooms and the limited HDMI 2.1 connections.
- Deep blacks and strong contrast for the price
- Smooth 120 Hz motion for games and sports
- Simple WebOS interface with all major apps
- Good value as an entry OLED
- Lower brightness than C-series OLEDs
- Fewer high-bandwidth HDMI ports
- Reflections in bright rooms
- Upscaling of low-quality content is only average
LG OLED 65B5 65" Class 4K Smart TV
Owner and reviewer consensus on the B5 is that it delivers the core OLED experience — deep blacks, wide viewing angles, strong gaming features — for less than the C series. The common complaints are brightness in bright rooms and weak built-in sound.
Questions and answers
- Are these the same TV?
- Yes. Both are the LG B5 OLED in 65 inches with a 3840 x 2160 panel and 120 Hz refresh. Product B just lists the full specifications.
- Which is better for a PS5 or Xbox Series X?
- Product B, on paper. It confirms four HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K 120Hz, VRR and ALLM. Product A lists HDMI but not the port count or version.
- Does the B5 support Dolby Vision?
- Product B lists Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. Product A only says HDR is supported, so confirm the formats before buying that listing.
- Is the 65-inch worth it over the 55-inch?
- For a room where you sit more than about 8 feet away, yes. The 65-inch gives a noticeably bigger picture for the same panel technology.
- Which lasts longer?
- They are the same panel and should age the same. OLED brightness can dim over years of heavy use, and static logos can leave marks, so vary content on both.
- Is one worth the extra money?
- Only if Product B costs about the same or less. You are paying for the same picture, so let the price decide.
