Which is better for a small balcony?

The Radiata, if you can hang it from a beam or ceiling hook, because it leaves the floor clear. The Mecale's stand needs a flat footprint of roughly 69 by 56 cm.

Which holds more weight?

The Radiata is rated to 350 lb when properly installed, against 150 kg (about 330 lb) for the Mecale. The gap is small, but the Radiata wins.

Is the Mecale worth it without a place to hang a chair?

Yes. It is the only one of the two that stands on its own, so it works on a porch or in a bedroom with no mounting point. At $93.98 it is also the cheaper option.

Which is more comfortable?

The Radiata has a 5 in. seat cushion and a headrest. The Mecale uses high-density fill cushions with zippered covers. Both are padded; the Radiata's cushion is thicker on paper.

Which is easier to store for winter?

The Radiata. The basket folds in seconds and nothing stays on the floor. The Mecale chair folds flat, but you still store the metal stand.

Is the Radiata worth $5 more?

Only if you have a safe overhead anchor. Otherwise the Mecale gives you a complete setup for less.
