Which is better for a small apartment?

The Schwinn 411. Its footprint is 53.8 x 24 inches and it has transport wheels, so it tucks into a corner more easily than the MERACH's larger frame.

Is the Schwinn 411 worth the extra $419?

Only if you will use the Bluetooth app, the 13 programs and the 2-year warranty. If you just want steady cardio, the MERACH does the same basic job for less.

Which handles taller users better?

The MERACH lists a max user height of 193 cm (about 6 ft 4 in). The Schwinn's 18-inch stride feels cramped for very tall users, so check your stride comfort before buying.

The MERACH is rated under 20 dB with a magnetic drive. The Schwinn is also magnetic, but Schwinn does not publish a noise figure, so the MERACH has the clearer claim.

Do either need a subscription?

The MERACH needs none. The Schwinn works without one, but its Explore the World virtual courses require a paid subscription.

Which holds more weight?

The MERACH, at 350 lb versus the Schwinn's 300 lb.
