Which set fits a double Ferret Nation cage?

Both are made for the Ferret Nation and Critter Nation double unit. The Midwest set includes liners for the bottom tray, top tray, two shelves and three ramps. The YKD set covers the top pan, one shelf and two ramps.

Is the YKD set worth the extra money?

Yes if leaks are a problem. Its waterproof bottom and cotton padding keep urine off the trays. If your ferret is litter trained, the Midwest set does the same job for $13.66.

Which is easier to clean?

Both are machine washable. The YKD liner shakes out hay and debris and its Velcro ramp covers come off fast. The Midwest liners slip off like pillowcases and snap back on.

Do the Midwest liners leak through?

Yes, fleece alone lets urine pass to the tray underneath. Plan to wipe the trays when you wash the liners, or add an absorbent pad underneath.

Will either set fit a single-unit cage?

Both are sized for the double unit. On a single Critter Nation or Ferret Nation you will have spare shelf and ramp pieces.

The YKD liner has three layers, so the waterproof backing is the first thing to wear out. The Midwest fleece is thin and can pill with heavy washing. Expect a year or so from either with weekly washing.
