Which is better for photos?

The Edge 2025. It has a multi-camera rear system with optical image stabilization, which helps in low light. The G Play relies on a 50MP rear camera without OIS.

Is the Edge 2025 worth the extra money?

For most buyers, yes. The $188 gap buys an OLED screen, four times the storage, double the RAM and IP68 water resistance. If you only call, text and stream, the G Play covers that for less.

Which has better battery life?

The G Play lists a 5200 mAh battery, which is large for its class. The Edge does not publish a figure here, so the G Play is the safer bet on endurance, though the Edge charges faster.

Does either phone take a microSD card?

The G Play lists expandable storage, so you can add a card to the 64GB. The Edge 2025 has no card slot listed and relies on its 256GB.

Can I use either phone underwater?

Only the Edge 2025, rated IP68. The G Play is IP52, which covers light splashes and dust but not submersion.

The Edge 2025 has more headroom: 8GB RAM and 256GB storage stay usable longer, and Android 15 is newer. The G Play's 4GB RAM will feel tight sooner.
