Which set fits a thick mattress?

The Nautica, which is rated for mattresses up to 18 inches deep. The Eddie Bauer is rated to 12 inches, so it will pull tight or pop off on a deep or pillow-top mattress.

Is the Eddie Bauer set worth the price?

At its recent low of $38.86 on November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for certified 200-thread-count cotton percale with a fully elastic fitted sheet. Above $53 it is less of a bargain.

Neither is soft out of the bag. Both are 200-thread-count percale, a crisp, matte weave that softens over repeated washes. The Eddie Bauer is described as lightweight and tightly woven.

Expect similar wear from both: same fiber, thread count and weave. The Eddie Bauer's fully elastic fitted sheet and envelope pillowcases reduce strain at the corners and edges, which helps longevity.

Do both come as a 4-piece set?

Yes. Each includes a flat sheet, a fitted sheet and two pillowcases. Pillowcase size depends on the size you order.

Are both safe for sensitive skin?

Both carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, which means they were tested for harmful substances. The Nautica set also states it uses non-toxic dyes.
