Which is better for a family room?

The Modmax. Four pieces seat more people, the double chaise handles two loungers, and the washable Nuvella covers suit kids and pets. The OVIOS is the pick for a smaller room or a tighter budget.

The Modmax has the sturdier build on paper: a corner-blocked frame and a platform base tested to resist sagging 3x better than springs after 20,000 cycles. The OVIOS relies on coil spring reinforcement and high-resilience foam, with no published durability testing.

Is the Modmax worth the extra money?

At its $672.52 low on October 31, 2026, yes, for the extra seats and washable fabric. At its $1,614.99 high on October 28, 2026, the gap over the $499.00 OVIOS is hard to justify unless you need the size.

Which is easier to clean?

The Modmax. Its zippered Nuvella covers come off for machine washing, and stains lift with mild soap or a diluted bleach solution. The OVIOS corduroy is stain-resistant but its covers are not described as machine washable.

Will the OVIOS fit a small apartment?

Yes. At 104.3 inches wide it is about 34 inches shorter than the Modmax, and the 2-piece modular design fits through tight doorways. The Modmax needs roughly 138 inches of wall.

Which has a higher seat?

The OVIOS, at a listed 31-inch seat height versus 20 inches on the Modmax. The Modmax sits low, pit-style, which some people find harder to get out of.
