Which is better for adult coloring books?

The ColorIt set is the easier fit: 72 soft wax pencils, a travel case and a mini coloring book in one box. The Holbein set works too, but you pay for 150 oil-based pencils and get no accessories.

Which has more colors?

Holbein, with 150 colors against 72 for ColorIt. ColorIt buyers do complain about too many similar reds and a nearly transparent white.

Do Holbein pencils last longer?

Holbein's 3.8 mm oil-based leads and high lightfast ratings point to better durability and fade resistance. ColorIt buyers report snapping leads and splitting barrels, so treat the ColorIt set as the more fragile option.

Is the Holbein set worth the extra cost?

Yes if you draw or illustrate and want 150 lightfast oil-based colors. No if you mainly color for fun and want a case, sharpener and gift box included.

Can I blend Holbein and ColorIt pencils together?

You can use them on the same page, but oil-based and wax-based cores blend differently. Keep each set to its own layers for predictable results.

Which is the better gift?

The ColorIt set, because it arrives in a magnetic-closure gift box with a case, sharpener and mini coloring book. The Holbein set is the better gift for a serious artist who already has storage and sharpeners.
