Questions and answers

Which is better for running?
The Watch8. It has the bigger 1.5-inch screen, a MIL-STD-810H shock rating and a thinner, lighter aluminum body. Both track GPS, heart rate and calories.
Is the Classic worth the extra $104?
Only if you want the stainless steel case and physical rotating bezel. Otherwise the Watch8 gives you a larger screen and tougher shock rating for less.
Which has better battery life?
They are close. Samsung rates the Classic at about 40 hours, and the Watch8's larger always-on display offsets its thinner body. Expect roughly a day and a half from either with workouts.
Do both work with an iPhone?
No. Both run Wear OS and list Android as the supported OS, so they pair with Android phones, not iPhones.
Can I swim with either watch?
Yes. Both carry IP68 and 5ATM ratings and sapphire crystal, so pool laps and showers are fine. Skip high-pressure water and saltwater dives.
Which looks more like a traditional watch?
The Watch8 Classic. Its stainless steel case and bezel ring mimic a dive watch. The Watch8 uses a cushion-shaped aluminum case with a sportier look.
