Does the cheap replacement work with air gestures?

No. It has no Bluetooth or battery, so remote shutter, air gestures and hover previews do not work. Writing, drawing and tapping do.

Is the official S Pen worth the extra $23.60?

Yes if you use the camera remote or air gestures, or want the pen to charge in the phone. If you only take notes, the $13.39 replacement covers that.

Will the replacement fit in the S26 Ultra's pen slot?

It is sold as a replacement for the S26 Ultra, but third-party fit varies. Check the seller's return policy before relying on it as your only pen.

The official pen has Samsung's build and warranty. The replacement ships with five tips, so tip wear is less of a problem, but its electronics are simpler and its warranty is seller-only.

Do both need charging?

Only the official S Pen does, and it charges in the phone's slot. The replacement has no battery.

Can I use either pen on the S26 Ultra's 6.9-inch screen?

Yes. Both are S Pen styluses for the S26 Ultra, which supports S Pen input on its 120 Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.
