Is the 50-inch worth the same price as the 36-inch?

Can both be recessed into a wall?

Yes. Both have a front heating vent so they can sit flush in a recessed opening. The 36-inch also lists wall-mount as an option.

Do they work with Alexa or Google Home?

Yes. Both are Wi-Fi enabled and work with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Which has more flame settings?

The 50-inch has 6 flame colors and 3 speeds. The 36-inch has 3 flame colors and 5 speed levels. Both have a 10-color ember bed.

Can I run flames without heat?

The 36-inch lists flames-no-heat and heat-no-flames modes. The 50-inch also separates flame and heat use through its remote and app.

Sideline 50 Inch Recessed Smart Electric Fireplace 80004 vs Sideline 36 Inch Recessed Smart Electric Fireplace 80014

Both fireplaces cost the same: $549, the 50-inch at Amazon and the 36-inch at Best Buy, as of November 5, 2026. The 50-inch gives you a much wider flame view for the same money, so it is the better buy for a large accent wall. The 36-inch fits tighter walls and smaller rooms where a 50-inch unit would overwhelm the space.
