Which holds more shoes, the SONGMICS or the VILICK?

The VILICK claims 36-41 pairs against 20 for the SONGMICS. Treat the VILICK figure as a maximum with small shoes; the SONGMICS figure is based on 2 pairs of men's shoes per tier.

Which is better for a narrow hallway?

The SONGMICS. At 18.9 in wide it fits where the 33 in VILICK will not.

Is the VILICK worth it over the SONGMICS?

If you have the wall space, yes: it is $11 cheaper at Amazon as of November 6, 2026 and claims roughly double the capacity. The SONGMICS buys you a narrower frame and a stated 6.6 lb per-tier limit.

Can either rack hold tall boots?

The SONGMICS lets you remove a shelf to fit boots and high heels. VILICK does not state removable shelves, so check the tier spacing before buying for boots.

Both use metal tubes with plastic connectors, and plastic connectors are the usual failure point on this type of rack. The SONGMICS states a 6.6 lb per-tier limit, so you can load it within spec; VILICK gives no figure.

Do both come with a cover?

Yes. The SONGMICS has a zip-up dustproof cover; the VILICK listing also includes a cover.
