Which bottle is better for keeping milk cold at school?

The Thermos Funtainer is better because its vacuum-insulated stainless steel is rated to keep liquids cold for 12 hours, whereas the plastic First Years cup offers only basic insulation.

Are these bottles safe to put in the dishwasher?

The First Years cup is top-rack dishwasher safe. While the Thermos Funtainer is listed as dishwasher safe, the manufacturer recommends hand washing to preserve the vacuum seal and finish.

Which is more durable for a child who drops things often?

The Thermos Funtainer is more durable overall due to its steel construction. However, The First Years cup features a DropGuard bumper specifically designed to prevent the lid from cracking when dropped.

Can I use these for warm apple juice or hot cocoa?

No. The Thermos Funtainer is explicitly not for use with hot liquids, and The First Years cup is designed specifically for cold drinks.
