Which is better for making smoothies?

The 5-Speed Bundle. Its 625W motor and five speeds blend frozen fruit and greens more easily, and the 32-oz jar lets you blend and store in one container.

Is the 5-Speed Bundle worth the extra $2?

Yes. For about $2 more you get a stronger motor, three extra speeds, a chopper, a jar and an extra year of warranty.

The 5-Speed Bundle is the safer bet. It has a stainless steel housing and a 3-year full warranty versus ABS plastic and 2 years on the 2-Speed.

Can both blend in a Mason jar?

Yes. Both fit a 1-quart wide-mouth Mason jar, and the 5-Speed Bundle also blends in any container with a 3-inch or wider opening.

Which is easier to clean?

The 2-Speed has fewer parts. The 5-Speed Bundle's attachments are hand wash only, so the chopper and jar add cleanup.

The 5-Speed Bundle is described as considerably quieter than a full-size blender. Neither listing gives a decibel figure for the 2-Speed.
