Is the Shark Rocket Pet Pro IZ162HC worth it?

For pet owners in smaller homes, yes. It is light, converts to a handheld and has HEPA filtration at $199.99 at Macy's as of November 3, 2026. If you need long runtime or a large bin for a big house, a corded or larger cordless model suits better.

How long does the battery last?

Expect roughly 20 to 30 minutes in normal mode and under 10 minutes on max power. Runtime drops as the battery ages, and a spare battery is the usual fix.

Does it work on carpet and hard floors?

Yes. The brushroll handles low-pile carpet and hard floors, and it shuts off when hair wraps so you can clear it. Deep-pile carpet needs slower passes.

What comes in the box?

The vacuum, a battery, a charger and the standard crevice and upholstery tools. Check the listing for the exact tool set, since bundles vary.

Is it good for pet hair?

Yes. The self-cleaning brushroll and pet tool are the main reasons to pick this model over the standard Rocket. Empty the small bin after each pet-hair pass.

It has held at $199.99 since November 2, 2026, so there is no discount to wait for right now. Cordless vacuums usually drop around Black Friday and spring sales.
