Is the Carote 13-piece set worth $79?

Yes, if you need a complete starter set and accept that ceramic coatings are consumable. At $79 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, you get six pots and pans, lids and utensils for less than most single-piece ceramic pans.

Does it work on induction?

Yes. Carote lists the set as induction ready and compatible with gas, electric and other stoves, thanks to the die-cast aluminum base.

How long does the ceramic coating last?

Expect roughly one to two years of regular use before release degrades. Hand washing, low-to-medium heat and silicone or wood utensils stretch it further.

Six pots and pans including a 4.2-quart casserole, frying pan, saucepan and sauté pan, matching glass lids, and a utensil kit with turner, ladle and tongs.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

It is not recommended. Dishwasher detergent and heat break down ceramic nonstick faster; wash by hand with a soft sponge.

Set-piece cookware usually drops during Black Friday, back-to-school and January white sales. The current $79 at Walmart is already near the bottom of the set's typical range.
