Is the ThinkPad T16g Gen 3 worth $3,419?

It is worth it if you need a discrete NVIDIA GPU and 32 GB RAM in a ThinkPad with corporate support. If you mostly run office apps, a cheaper integrated-graphics ThinkPad does the same work for far less.

How does it compare with the T16 Gen 3?

The T16g adds a discrete NVIDIA GPU and HX-class Intel CPU for GPU work and rendering. The standard T16 uses integrated graphics and is lighter and cheaper, with longer battery life.

How is battery life with the NVIDIA GPU?

Expect modest battery life when the GPU and HX CPU run at full tilt, since both draw heavily. Light office use lasts longer, but this is not an all-day unplugged machine.

Is 32 GB RAM and 1 TB enough?

For most CAD, development and data work, yes; 32 GB covers large models and many browser tabs. The 1 TB SSD is generous, and check whether Lenovo offers a second drive slot if you need more.

What comes in the box?

Lenovo typically ships the laptop, a power adapter and paperwork; a stylus and docking station are not included. Confirm the exact bundle with the seller before ordering.

ThinkPads usually drop during Lenovo's seasonal sales and back-to-school events. With only one store listing it new at $3,419 as of November 7, 2026, watch for a direct Lenovo discount rather than a competing retailer.
