Is the HP OmniBook 3 17.3 good for everyday use?

Yes. The Ryzen 5 130, 16 GB RAM and SSD cover browsing, Office, video calls and streaming comfortably. It is not built for demanding games or heavy video editing.

Is a 17.3-inch laptop too big to carry?

It is fine around the house or between desk and couch, but it is bulky for daily commuting or air travel. If portability matters most, a 14- or 15-inch model is a better fit.

Does the touchscreen work with a stylus?

The touchscreen supports finger input. HP does not list an active pen for this model, so treat it as touch-only unless a pen is confirmed for your exact configuration.

How does it compare with a Ryzen 7 version?

A Ryzen 7 gives more cores and headroom for multitasking and longer sustained workloads. For browsing, documents and streaming, the Ryzen 5 130 here is enough.

What comes in the box?

Expect the laptop, its power adapter and paperwork. A mouse, sleeve or pen is not typically included, so budget for those separately.

Large-screen laptops like this usually drop during back-to-school, Black Friday and end-of-quarter clearance. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the HP OmniBook 3 17.3" FHD Touchscreen Laptop AMD Ryzen 5 130

The HP OmniBook 3 is a 17.3-inch full-HD touchscreen laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 5 130 processor with integrated AMD graphics, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB solid-state drive. The big screen and touch input set it apart from most 15-inch laptops at this level, and the silver chassis keeps it plain rather than flashy. It is a general-purpose machine for desk work, browsing and streaming rather than gaming or heavy creative work.
