    Questions and answers

Is the Apple iPad 16GB still worth buying?
At $84.99 new it is a reasonable buy for browsing, video and reading. Skip it if you need current apps, multitasking or room for lots of photos.
How much storage does it have, and can I add more?
It has 16GB built in with no memory card slot. Expect roughly 12GB usable after the system, so plan on cloud storage.
Does it work with a cellular plan?
This version has 4G, so it needs a carrier SIM and data plan for mobile use. It also works over Wi-Fi without a plan.
How does it compare with newer iPads?
Newer iPads have more RAM, more storage and faster chips. This model is best kept to light tasks.
    What comes in the box?
Expect the iPad, a charging cable and a power adapter. Check the listing for exact included accessories.
    When is it cheapest?
It is already discounted at $84.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026. Older iPads often drop further around major sales events.
