Is the 11-inch iPad worth it at $399?

At $399 at UFP Gear as of November 8, 2026, it is a strong value: the A16 chip and 128GB base storage cover most everyday tasks. Only buy up if you need a brighter, laminated display or Apple Pencil hover features.

How does it compare with the iPad Air?

The Air has an M-series chip, a laminated display and support for the newer Pencil Pro. This iPad is cheaper and fine for streaming, notes and light editing, but the Air is the better pick for drawing and heavy multitasking.

Does it work with the Apple Pencil?

Yes, it supports the USB-C Apple Pencil and the first-generation Apple Pencil with a USB-C adapter. The Pencil Pro is not supported on this model.

How much storage should I get?

128GB suits streaming, browsing and schoolwork. Choose 256GB or 512GB if you download lots of video, keep large photo libraries or play big games.

You get the iPad, a USB-C charge cable and a 20W USB-C power adapter. The Apple Pencil and keyboard cases are sold separately.

It has sold near $399 during major sales events, and the current $399 at UFP Gear matches that low. Waiting for Black Friday or back-to-school promotions rarely beats it by much.

Our take on the Apple iPad 11-inch

The 11-inch iPad is Apple's mainstream tablet, now built around the A16 chip with 128GB of base storage, a 2360-by-1640 Liquid Retina display at 500 nits, and a landscape 12MP Center Stage front camera. It keeps Touch ID in the top button, USB-C, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, and runs iPadOS with Apple Pencil support. At $399 at UFP Gear as of November 8, 2026, it sits at the low end of what this model has sold for recently, so this is a good moment to buy.
