Is the Gawfolk 34-inch ultrawide worth buying?

Only if you accept risk. The specs are strong for $189.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, but a 2.7 out of 5 rating from 47 ratings points to quality-control problems. Buy from a store with easy returns and test for dead pixels right away.

Can my graphics card run 3440x1440 at 165 Hz?

You need DisplayPort for 165 Hz; HDMI usually caps lower. Expect a mid-range or better GPU for modern games at this resolution, and use DisplayPort for the full refresh rate.

Does it have built-in speakers or a USB hub?

No speakers or USB hub are listed. Plan on external speakers or headphones and a separate USB hub if you need one.

Is a VA panel bad for gaming?

VA gives deep blacks and good contrast but slower pixel transitions, so dark scenes can smear. The quoted 5 ms response time is slower than the 1 ms figures on many IPS and fast VA gaming panels.

How does it compare with a 34-inch 1440p IPS monitor?

IPS models cost more but usually have better viewing angles and less smearing. This Gawfolk wins on price and contrast; the IPS wins on consistency and often on warranty.

The only new price listed is $189.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026. With one seller there is no price history to time, so watch for seasonal sales events.
