Our take on the Gawfolk 34-Inch Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor Uwqhd 3440x1440

The Gawfolk 34-inch curved ultrawide is a budget UWQHD (3440x1440) gaming monitor built on a VA panel with a 165 Hz refresh rate and HDMI connectivity. Its main draw is the price of entry into 34-inch ultrawide gaming, not premium build or image quality. Its 2.7 out of 5 rating from 47 ratings is a warning sign: buyers report mixed experiences, so check the return policy before ordering.

What reviewers say

Ratings are poor overall at 2.7 out of 5 from 47 ratings, and the pattern in budget-monitor feedback is familiar: buyers like the size and price but complain about panel defects and motion blur. Treat the score as a caution rather than a verdict on every unit.

  • Sharp 3440x1440 resolution
  • High 165 Hz refresh rate
Cons

Questions and answers

Is the Gawfolk 34-inch ultrawide worth it?
Only if the price is well below name-brand 34-inch ultrawides and you can return it easily. The 2.7 out of 5 rating means you are taking a quality-control risk.
Can it hit 165 Hz over HDMI?
That depends on the HDMI version and your GPU; many 3440x1440 monitors need DisplayPort for full refresh rate. Confirm the port spec before buying if 165 Hz matters to you.
Is a VA panel bad for gaming?
VA gives strong contrast and deep blacks but slower pixel transitions, so dark scenes can smear. It suits slower games better than competitive shooters.
How big is it on a desk?
A 34-inch 21:9 monitor is roughly 32 inches wide and weighs 17.2 lb. Measure your desk and check the stand's footprint before ordering.
What is in the box?
Expect the monitor, stand, and an HDMI cable. Check the listing for the exact accessories, since budget bundles vary.
When is it cheapest?
Budget monitors like this usually drop during major sales events and clearance. Track its price history and buy when it falls near its low.
