Is the Roomba s9+ worth it at $365?

At $365 it costs far less than its original near-$1,000 price and cleans carpet well. Weigh that against reports of reliability problems and the cost of bags.

How does the s9+ differ from the j7+?

The s9+ has stronger suction and a wider squared front for corners. The j7+ adds obstacle avoidance with a front camera, which the s9+ lacks.

Does it work on pet hair?

Yes. It is one of the better Roombas for pet hair on carpet, and the base holds debris in a sealed bag.

How often do I change the bag?

iRobot rates the bag for about 60 days of typical use. Homes with heavy shedding will need changes sooner.

Yes, setup, schedules and voice control through Alexa or Google Assistant all require a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection.

What comes in the box?

The robot, the Clean Base automatic dirt disposal, one bag, a filter and a power cord.
