Gaming laptop plus eGPU dock for desk-to-backpack setups

Questions and answers

Is the RX 7600M XT dock worth it over a normal gaming laptop?

The dock gives you a real discrete GPU without the heat and weight inside the chassis. If you mostly game at one desk, that trade-off works well. If you game on the move, a laptop with a built-in GPU is simpler.

Can I game without the dock?

Only lightly. The Ryzen 7 8745HS uses Radeon 780M integrated graphics, which handle esports titles and older games at 1080p but not current AAA games at high settings.

How does it compare with the previous model?

NIMO has not published a direct predecessor with the same dock. Compare it on the GPU, RAM and storage rather than the model year, since the 8745HS and RX 7600M XT are the parts that set performance.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, the eGPU dock with the RX 7600M XT, and the necessary power and connection cables. Confirm the exact bundle with the store before ordering, since listings vary.

Is $1,399 a good price?

It is the best new price found as of November 4, 2026, but it is at the high end of the recent range. With only two stores selling it, watch for a drop before buying.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

The 32GB DDR5 and 1TB SSD are already large, and the listing does not state whether slots are free. Check with NIMO or the store before planning an upgrade.
