Is the ProForm Carbon EL worth $799?

At $799 at Ultimate Fitness Outlet as of November 8, 2026, it is one of the cheapest ellipticals with a touchscreen and power incline. It is worth it if you will use iFIT and incline workouts; otherwise a simpler machine may last longer.

Do I need an iFIT membership?

No, but without one the touchscreen offers limited workouts and you control resistance and incline manually. The membership unlocks trainer-led classes that adjust the machine for you.

How hard is assembly?

Owners describe a multi-hour build with many steps and unclear instructions. Plan for two people and set aside an afternoon.

What is the stride length?

The stride is adjustable rather than fixed, letting you shorten or lengthen your step. It is not as long as commercial ellipticals, so very tall users may feel cramped.

Does it have a heart rate monitor?

Yes, it includes heart rate monitoring, typically through handle sensors. Readings are approximate and less accurate than a chest strap.

Connected fitness machines usually drop around Black Friday and New Year sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.
