Is the 17.3-inch screen Full HD?

No. HP lists it as HD+, which is 1600x900. On a 17.3-inch panel that is noticeably less sharp than 1920x1080.

Is 64GB of RAM overkill?

For web browsing, Office and streaming, yes. It helps only if you run many heavy apps or virtual machines at once.

Can the RAM or storage be upgraded later?

The listing does not say. With 64GB and 2TB already fitted, there is little reason to open it up.

Is it good for gaming or video editing?

No. The i5-1334U uses integrated graphics and a low-power design, so it suits everyday tasks, not demanding games or 4K editing.

How does it compare with a 15.6-inch HP laptop?

You get a bigger screen and a roomier keyboard deck, but more weight and bulk. A 15.6-inch model is easier to carry.

When is the best time to buy?

With one store listing it new at $1,399.99 as of November 7, 2026, watch for holiday sales, when HP laptops usually see their deepest discounts.

About the HP 17.3" HD+ Touchscreen Laptop Intel Core i5-1334U 64GB RAM 2TB Storage

A 17.3-inch HP laptop with an HD+ touchscreen, an Intel Core i5-1334U processor, 64GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. The big screen and the unusually large memory and storage are the draw; the display is HD+, not Full HD, and the chip is a low-power U-series part. The best new price is $1,399.99 at Target as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against.
